House update: the weatherboard is on & we have some plaster

There she is. Sitting there in the street. That blue sarking is going and we’ve got some weatherboard across the front now…

It was so sunny there yesterday evening so it looks like a big white blob here. I can’t wait to see it with green grass and plants. I am visualising it all.

And ta-dah. We have some ceiling up. This was supposed to happen last week, but the heat held them up. So they started yesterday. Can’t wait to see what  they get done today.

So that’s it! I’m getting ready to move now (in my head). Our lease officially runs out here this weekend (but we’ll take it on for a few more weeks of course) and now we’re paying both rent and for the house, so I need things to move along nicely and I hope there are no hold-ups. My bank account can’t allow that! 🙂 That’s the thing about building – it can be tough when you have to rent as well. I have always envied those people who have family to stay with while they build! Makes it so much easier.

Have you built before? Did you rent, or stay with someone?

Have a great day! X
