This week’s Floor Plan Friday is all about space, separation and smart design. It’s a long flowing layout that offers loads of room for everyone to spread out while still keeping that sense of connection in the main living areas. Here’s what I love about it.

Two Master Suites
This plan features not one but two master-style bedrooms. Bed 1 sits at the rear of the home and includes a large ensuite with double vanity and a huge walk-in robe. It’s perfect for parents wanting a quiet retreat away from the rest of the home. Bed 2 is located in its own wing and also has a private ensuite and walk-in robe which makes it ideal for guests, older teens or even multi-generational living.

Spacious Kitchen and Living Hub
The central part of the home is all about togetherness. The kitchen dining and family zones are wide open and flow beautifully out to the alfresco. The kitchen features a long island bench and a massive butler’s pantry with direct access to the backyard. This is a great touch for those who love entertaining or need extra prep space.

Private Rumpus Room
Tucked away between Bedrooms 3 and 4 is a dedicated rumpus room. This could be a playroom for younger kids a chill zone for teens or even a quiet spot for reading or craft. It’s zoned away from the main living area which is great for noise control.

Functional Family Wing
Bedrooms 3 and 4 are a good size each with built-in robes and close access to a three-way bathroom and a separate powder room. There’s also a generous linen cupboard and a store room in this wing which is always handy for busy families who need space for all the extras.

Practical Laundry with Outdoor Access
The laundry is well-placed next to the bathroom and includes a broom cupboard and external access making laundry day that little bit easier.

Front Entry and Flexibility
The entryway opens onto a foyer that leads into the main living zone. There’s also a handy powder room near the front which is perfect for guests. From here you can access the garage which has internal entry for added convenience.

Double Garage and Portico Entry
The double garage sits neatly at the front with a covered portico that gives the home a welcoming entrance. There’s a great flow from garage to foyer to the main hub keeping everything connected.

What Do You Think
This layout has so many clever features for modern family life with lots of flexibility for changing needs. I’d love to hear your thoughts. What stands out to you most? Would this kind of layout work for your household
