After having a chunky upholstered bedhead that no longer reflected her taste or new bedroom linen, founder Lauren and her husband, decided to combine her passion of art and furniture design to create something new. The result was a new and exciting range of of headboards. NOD headboards made from lightweight eco-balsa tiles, stick directly to the wall – saving valuable floor space.
The new patented design headboards are ideal for ensemble beds and feature fresh colours and patterns – thus adding another dimension to the traditional bed dressing.
“Not only do the headboards stick directly to the wall without penetrating it, but their lightweight nature ensures they collect little to no dust,” Lauren says. “Better yet, as the boards are only stuck to the wall, they can be easily removed and replaced as your linen and design preferences change.“
“I am really passionate about the product and wanted to launch it with a bang. As such, I thought it might be fun to launch NOD with a photoshoot that also helps celebrate some other innovative Australian designers. I wanted to connect with and showcase the work of some of my favourite local designers. There is a lot of talent in Australia, there really is no better time to buy locally.”
The photoshoot, which features the products and designs of celebrated homeware designers Kip & Co, Olli Ella, Milkcart, Bramwell Designs, Major Minor, One Two Tree and Staple & Seed, helped showcase NOD’s range of environmentally friendly, hand-painted headboards. The shoot, which took place in Sydney at Switchboard Studio, St Peters, was styled by Lauren Esplin and shot by David Collins Photography.
*NOD Headboards are available in all sizes to suit Australian-standard ensembles. Range includes designs for kids and adults, with prices starting from $159.
I am really loving these headboards. What do you think?
Happy Shopping
