Last night was the first official room reveal on The Block Triple Threat. It was a guest room. But the ‘triple threat’ (previous contestants) were vying for a full time gig on this series. Matt & Kim, Bec & George and Darren & Dee were fighting it out…

So we all know who won… It was revealed that Darren & Dee would find themselves with another gig on The Block this year. Boy oh boy. What do we think of that?? No disputing the fact they can style up a storm, but I will admit this year’s format is not my favourite. Too much reality (or scripted amateur comedy). I just want to see rooms and reno. Plus it took a very long time to get to this end result! Which means a very long season and I am not sure the audience will stick around long enough to connect. The challenges and time frames are getting silly with contestants being delirious and unwell…
