A black fence

I don't have a black fence, but I'd love one. I went looking around on Pinterest for some cool ideas and these are just gorgeous. Black just floats away in the background so if you can't decide on which colour fence you should have, then just go black! You won't be sorry. It looks amazing …

3 fence tips!

  1. You’ll want a fence to showcase your foliage and plants, so don’t choose a colour similar to those.
  2. A light coloured fence makes the yard feel smaller as it brings the eye inwards.
  3. A black fence won’t make an area feel small because they make greenery stand out more giving added dimension, interest and depth to your yard.

It doesn’t even have to be the entire fence as you can see in these photos. Even just a screened area, or around a pool. Maybe it’s time to get out the paint brushes or hire a spray gun and paint your fence! A fresh black fence is an easy DIY project you can achieve yourself in a weekend.

Have just done this recently…no regrets. ☺️Enhances my fresh modest DIY landscaping, especially the magnolias. Now for some edging…thinking dark as well. Makes the grass look greener…we’re all searching for that…aren’t we?

Ohhh would this possibly make the backyard look bigger? We are just about to do handover on our freshly built home but the block of land we could afford is little so we have a teeny back yard…

Sure does! Black blends and floats away in the background so you can’t see them. I have ugly bone colour which sticks out (until my hedges grow). The landscaping becomes the feature.

Thank you! I have just been wondering if I can paint one side of my fence black. Do you think you could paint colourbond fences so they all look the same? I have a cream and green fence, a blue and grey fence and a cream wall it’s killing me!

Hi, Interested how black will bring out beauty of plant colours. I’m looking for the product that will give the black fence colour shown in some of these photos. Can you suggest one?

Hi, Just wondering if you knew of the product, available in Australia, that could produce that solid black colour in those pictures?

Hi. Love your fence. Also love your house colour for the front of your house.
Have you used just one white for all the alls trims eaves ect or is there a couple of different shades of white.
Hoping you can tell me the colour scheme for the exterior of your house.
    Thanks.
