I turned another year old yesterday. 39! Yep, that means the big 4-0 next year. Wowzers. I’m ok with that, although I will savour one more year of being in my 30’s for now! We had a couple of days in Sydney to celebrate and have a break away. Sorry about all the blue sky photos, but what can I say… Sydney really turned on the sunshine for my birthday!
We walked and walked and walked. My nephew said we did 14,000 steps in an afternoon! Darling Harbour, the city and then we went up in The Sydney Tower. I haven’t done that since I was a kid and my boys hadn’t been. The day was so clear and I loved every minute of it…
The game of the year was on in town, so of course being mad Swannies supporters we had to join in. Sorry to those who were there and got to see me in a beanie singing on the big screen. Can you believe it, nek minnit the camera was in my face and I had to sing Sweet Caroline to 42,000 people. I am still wetting myself. I’ll never forget that. It would only happen to me!
All I wanted to do on my birthday was soak up a bit of beach. We had breakfast at Bondi and hung around the waves for a while. It was freezing, but who cares! Us country folk love a bit of beach when we can get it. Didn’t stop the kids from playing footy on the sand for a while. I snapped a million photos as you do.
I had such a great time away. Today I am off to take all the team photos for our footy club then join some of my girlfriends tonight for another round of birthday celebrations. Spoilt I think! Can’t wait. 39 is shaping up to be pretty bloody awesome already. Thank you for all the good wishes. ♥ KC.
