Poser! Check me out! Yesterday we went to the top of the Rockafella Centre to see the 360 degree views of the city. Amazing! No words. I still can’t believe I’m here.
I may have gone here…
We went to Ground Zero too. This was beautiful and scary at the same time. It’s so hard to believe it happened. The American’s do such a great job at memorials, history and tradition. I’m learning so much.
We shuffled in quietly to the memorial. We had full body security checks like you do at the airport. The whole area (like about 5 blocks) is a ‘Quiet Zone’… no one honks, talks loud and it’s a place of reflection. It was eerily quiet.
In place of the towers are 2 huge pools with a waterfall. Breathtaking. There is a North and a South pool marking the existing sites of the towers. Nearby they are rebuilding matching towers.
Names are etched all the way around the pools. There are also beautiful trees and park benches where people sit and reflect. There were hundreds of people quietly walking around the memorial site. It was truly overwhelming…
I love their post boxes!
And check this out! A self service post office. The New York post office is spread over abut 2 blocks and is open 24/7! WHOAH!
We may have also visited the biggest toy shop!
Nitrogen canisters are everywhere in Time Square. Safety?? Someone said the hoses run to the underground Subway to cool it down? Anyone know if this is right? I was amazed!
Still loving everything about the city. It’s wearing me out though! I fell asleep for about 10 mins during Cirque Du Soleil last night… haha! I frightened myself when I woke suddenly in the theatre. I’m not going to rest though… I have donuts to eat, caawwwffeee to drink, shops to do over AND a conference ahead for me. It officially starts for me tomoz but this arvo Barrack Obama is addressing us via satellite! How lucky am I?
I’m buying an I love NY t-shirt today…
Gotta run, I’m of to Soho and the Statue of Liberty today.

Looks amazing! Did you get anything in Tiffany? A little heart for a necklace isn’t expensive, and would be a nice memory from NY!
