Hi there! I’ve been a bit absent these past few weeks… I’ve just been going through the motions of life… you know how it is?

Last night I ordered the worst take-away of my life. I have never ordered takeaway online and I think I have ordered pizza take-away like twice. So I did it again last night. Now I know why I don’t do it. It was the worst rubbish ever. And my kids hated it. I thought I’d make life easy and order from Pizza Hut online and we took a drive down to pick it up. We all complained. It was so yucky and obviously we won’t be doing that again.

Today I am getting my hair done. I love it when this day rolls around. My bestie does my hair and she is desperate to change it and I am like a stubborn mule. New hair styles are great in theory and look great for the day, but in reality, I barely leave the house these days, so I am never going to style it properly. It’s not that I can’t style it properly, it’s just that when you don’t go to work to face people daily, I don’t feel the need to fluff it up. I like to be able to pull it back and get on with my day. She wanted me to have a side fringe thing, which would look great I am sure, but I can guarantee I’d hate that fringe and end up putting a bobby pin it every day!

Ford has been switching my cars around lately. I’m cool with that! At the moment we have a Mondeo wagon to burn around town in. It’s very swish. I never thought I’d be a wagon kinda girl, but I am loving it sick. We just handed the Ranger Wildtrak back. My boys found that hard to part with. My neighbours think I work at our local Ford dealership and I just bring demo cars home now and then! Ha!

So, where are we up to on the home front? I am patiently still waiting for my shutters to arrive. Should be any day! We bought 12 roses for the front of the house across the verandah. That’s a job for tomorrow. I can’t wait to see them flourish.

I think the winter blues have been setting in here. I can’t seem to get excited about anything and I’d love some sunshine. Maybe it’s time for me to take a break from some stuff? Or move north? 😉

But on another cool note, something fun has come my way… my builder (we’ve just built this Facebook page) and I are scheming stuff and I am going to be working with him and his clients. I think that’s what I have always wanted to do. Help people build houses (I was a new homes sales consultant once with a big project builder and it was a great job). Wagga’s houses are all looking the same. If you live here, you’ll agree? I wished I’d done a draughtsman course. I suppose it’s not too late is it? Stay tuned for this as I think my life direction needs a little change.

Come and follow me on Instagram? That’s a nice place and I love it over there.

Do you order take-away pizza often?

Do you like to change your hairstyles? Have you ever done it then hated it?

Did you know Adairs have a great sale on at the moment? I bought some cushions from there yesterday.

I’m going to the hairdresser today too! And not a moment too soon as the greys are having a field day. New hairdresser as mine has gone on maternity leave – so no new styles for me!

Takeaway pizza is so hit and miss. I have found a great gourmet frozen version that I just keep in a deep freeze – so much better and even easier than the takeaway.

Great to hear about the builder actually wanting to do something a bit different. New house don’t all have to look the same do they?!

Katrina, that will be a great position for you. I totally agree that houses in Wagga are have all looked the same forever. I am a huge lover of weatherboard and was thrilled to see that is what you went with. Oh and yes, I bought some navy and white striped knitted cushions from Adairs yesterday…great sale!

I am having the hair dilemna too. Is it part of the winter blues I wonder? Mine is shoulder length and I am happy with it when I hot roller it but on other days I tie it up or it just hangs and I am getting too old for that. I read somewhere that it was a sign of aging when a woman cuts her hair. I am in a state of denial so will be putting it off for a while yet…sigh.

    Hi Katrina
Great post by the way. Love your blog. I order Dominos pizza from my ipad and believe it or not its quite OK.
Funny you say that about your hair aswell, my friend is my hairdresser and always wants me to change my colour but I with you, not interested.
Have a great weekend and before your know it those roses will be in bloom and making you smile.

That position sounds tailor made Katrina! Good luck with the roses, I love them but have never had a go at using them in a garden as i shudder at the thought of pruning them and killing them!
Try Dominos pizza online.Friday night is strike night here and we’ve regularly ordered and had great success with them. x kl

Oh dear. Online pizza ordering? Those mass-produced American-style chain pizzas don’t taste anything like REAL pizza. On the rare occasions we buy it (we usually make our own) it has to be from the local pizza shop, where they still make them the traditional Aussie way.

Have you used the Mondeo’s auto parking thingie yet? My sister has one and loves how it parks itself. That would freak me out… 😉

Have never ordered pizza online… we have a small local pizza place we treat ourselves too occasionally but not often. As for hairstyles, I’m so very boring… same cut and colour every time… until recently. I’ve been slowly going darker and slowly going shorter, inch by inch each visit. Next visit I’m thinking of being a bit braver and getting a decent amount off for a noticeable change… I’m keen for something shorter (a bit like Delta Goodrem’s new length on The Voice)… we’ll see when my appointment rolls around 🙂
