If your walls are still white and you’re itching for a little change, 2025 is the year to get bold, go earthy, or lean into something a bit moodier. Colour trends this year are all about personality, warmth, and creating spaces that feel beautiful and lived-in. Whether you’re renovating, refreshing, or just want to add some soul to your home, here are the colours everyone is falling for right now.

1. Warm Neutrals

Cool greys have taken a back seat. This year is all about soft, natural shades like oatmeal, caramel, clay, and mushroom. These tones bring instant warmth and look gorgeous with timber furniture, natural fibres, and soft lighting. They’re easy to work with and make your space feel calm and grounded.

Style tip: Look out for palettes that include names like “coconut milk” or “soft stone.” These are your go-to for that timeless warmth.

2. Earthy Greens

From sage to olive to deep eucalyptus, green continues to be a favourite. It connects us to nature and adds a touch of calm to any space. Think green kitchen cabinetry, bathroom tiles, or even a painted feature wall in the lounge room.

Try pairing it with: cream, natural timber, brushed brass, or soft white.

3. Dusky Blues

Blues in 2025 are a bit more relaxed. Think faded denim, dusty ocean tones, and soft inky shades. Perfect for bedrooms, studies, or anywhere you want to create a restful vibe. These blues feel gentle and a bit vintage without being dated.

4. Deep Burgundy and Plum

These rich, dramatic tones are popping up everywhere. Think velvet cushions, dark feature walls, or statement joinery. They feel luxurious and a bit romantic without being too formal.

Not sure about going all in? Try a burgundy candleholder, rug, or artwork to test it out first.

5. Peach and Apricot Tones

Yes, really. These soft citrus colours are having a moment. They bring a fun, fresh energy and work beautifully with both vintage and modern decor. Think soft terracotta, dusty coral, and creamy peach. Paired with olive green or beige, they’re surprisingly chic.

6. Black Accents

While colour is everywhere right now, black still holds its own. Black handles, tapware, window frames, or cabinetry add depth and contrast. It helps define a space without being overpowering.
