I have been spending a lot of time lately listening to Podcasts. I usually always have music in my ears or the tv going in the background when I’m at home, but over the last month or two I’ve been filling my brain with some Podcasts.
Above is a screenshot of my latest ‘shows’. I have ditched Netflix for a while (horror!) and have been pumping out these Podcasts. I have found them so interesting and I enjoy the idea of being able to multi-task at the same time. I can get all the housework done, or make a trip driving somewhere much more interesting.
It all started with S-Town. I was sucked in by that story. I loved it. Then I went to Serial and listened to the two mini-series stories there. I particularly loved Invisibilia. The girls were good to listen to and their stories were great. Then I followed through with all the others in the photo above, and my latest is the TED Radio Hour. That is so varied and really gets you thinking. I like that kind of thing.
Have you got any other I should add to my list? I really like the interesting stuff, not so much the chit chat, or comedy stuff. There are some voices on a few Podcasts I have flicked to that I find hard to listen to. I’ve also done a few episodes of ‘The Way I Heard It With Mike Rowe’ and these are short 6 minute stories (which are great!), but for some reason his voice makes me shuffle and feel uncomfortable…! I have had to pause that one for a while.
I’d love to hear about what you’re in to!
