Floor Plan Friday: 4 bedroom, rumpus, studio

This floor plan has been in my head all week. I was even struggling to get to sleep last because I was thinking about it! It’s fair to say I really like it.

It has a modern vibe with zones (which I am a huge fan of) and would be excellent with the back deck facing a northerly view.

I like the garage access in to both the WIP and the actual house. I also love the drive through garage.

There are raked ceilings in the entry and through the main kitchen/living. This would be spectacular.

I love the 3 bedrooms and rumpus away from everything this else. This would work well with my boys as they’d have their own space away from me! I like that the rumpus also opens to the deck. I could image a pool straight out in the courtyard.

I like the desk in the kitchen area and the fireplace and tv. You could have some sort of cabinetry or bench seat which wraps around that corner. Such a cool idea.

The master on the back is too good. I wouldn’t change a thing.

What do you think about the studio and laundry? I like the laundry tucked away. The studio would be an excellent office away from the hustle and bustle of the house. The feature garden outside would be soothing.

Obviously you need a very wide block to accommodate this plan and a pretty healthy budget! There’s not much I would change though.

I found the plan here. You can see drawings of the facade too and how it could look. Of course you can adjust that to suit your style.

What do you think about this one?

If you’re obsessed with house designs like I am then I have a stack more over here.

Plus I can give you a hand with your own floor plans in my services list over here.

Happy Friday ♥ KC.

I personally like the laundry in the centre of my home and as close as possible to the kitchen as the hub of the home is where I spend my time. My kids struggle to put their clothes in the laundry as it is so they’d never make it to this laundry lol
I went to a kids party at the lake that had a plan similar.
I’ll see if I can find the rental listing!

It’s s great plan..I would prefer the laundry a bit closer but the benefit of it being so far away is being able to use it early/late without waking anyone. My laundry is too close to bedrooms

Love the laundry away from everyones rooms, so loads can be done at anytime. The whole layout is lovely.

I wonder how wide the block would need to be for this one?

I reckon that studio would make a good home gym, you could slide the door open if it was hot and get a tv on the wall … this is one of my favourite layouts.
