Whatever stress you’re feeling did you know that potted indoor plants can help relieve some tension? Not only do they look good, they can serve a practical purpose.
Spending time in nature has been linked to reducing stress levels and tension, so it seems a no-brainer that indoor plants will help do the same. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. So whilst we are sleeping, indoor plants are refreshing the air.
Let these plants below take away the toxins and bring you a sense of calm…
Aloe Vera
This plant is handy when it comes to soothing cuts and burns, but it can also help to monitor the air quality in your home. The plant can help clear the air of pollutants found in chemical cleaning products, and when the amount of harmful chemicals in the air becomes excessive, the plants’ leaves will display brown spots. It grows best with lots of sun.

Rubber Plant
Rubber plants are good for cleaning the air and are relatively easy plants to grow, as they thrive even in dim lighting and cooler climates. They look great too! The low-maintenance plant is a powerful toxin eliminator and air purifier because it removes Formaldehyde which can be trapped in carpets, particle or press-board type composite wood products, building materials, insulation, household products, fertilizers and cigarette smoke.

Peace Lily
The name alone makes you want one. The beautiful peace lily plant is a wonderful low-maintenance flower to keep in the home. They can reduce the levels of a number of toxins in the air with their lush green leaves.

Philodendron, Monstera Deliciosa
These plants are super popular at the moment in the interior design world. They are gorgeous with their big leaves and swish cheese shape. They are particularly good at absorbing xylene (a pollutant that negatively affects the brain, kidneys, liver and reproductive system).

Jade
Considered a “lucky plant” or “money tree”. The money tree is used as a Feng Shui cure to attract the energy of wealth and prosperity. The money tree plant is supposed to produce positive vibrations that will bring prosperity to the owner of the house or business. It is best placed at the front door and at the back door.
