Create an eZone at your house

The word "eZone" has been popping up in new floor plans I've been looking at. If you don't need a full home office or study, but still want somewhere to sit and pay the bills, scroll Facebook or write an email, then an eZone might be the solution! Basically it's a nook with a small bench, …

If you don’t need a full home office or study, but still want somewhere to sit and pay the bills, scroll Facebook or write an email, then an eZone might be the solution! Basically it’s a nook with a small bench, chair and the computer. This one below would be my absolute favourite.

Come and check out some other ideas…

The photos with the little shelf and brackets would be so easy for you to do yourself at home. You could even have a standing desk, so no chair needed, just a base for the laptop and even a charging station for your phone. It’s a great idea if you want the laptop up off the dining table or kitchen bench.

I actually just did this during the week! I bought a beautiful console table from 1825, and set it up in our primary living space where I can see our young children on the computer from our kitchen. We have an office down stairs however it’s too far from the central living. It fits in nicely with the rest of the home and if I decide to not have the computer there, I still have a functional console/hall/sofa table

Hi chrissy, I’d love to see a photo. I’ve had a study area off the kitchen for a while, but it needs an update. Does your new desk allow for suspension files?

We are building new home at the moment & don’t have a study (as I usually fill them it junk). So have made space in our living room for our computer. Loving these ideas 🙂

Yep I am with you on that – we are building and although we have a designated home office for our business, I am adding a study nook too. I want to be able to keep the two areas seperate! You definitely need somewhere to pay bills, keep cameras, cords, chargers etc. perfect way to store it all!

They do it at the kitchen bench mostly. High school have own laptops so always in the kitchen. The other primary aged so use my office when they need computer.

Definitely dreaming I reckon Amber Jayne
I think kids these days like the comfort of their own personal space to get into the homework zone
Primary school level is good at kitchen table as parents get involved but once they hit high school they want their own area which is generally their room
I’d be happy to turn my study into an extended ensuite and dressing room as it backs onto my existing one now and we’ve never used it except for junk storage
