Colourful living rooms

When the cold starts to set in during Winter I love to look at bright, cheery and colourful living rooms. It makes me feel less dreary and dull. If you’re after your own colourful living room here are some tips:

  • Start with a ‘different’ coloured couch. Yellow or aqua seems to work well!
  • Pick a colourful and patterned floor rug
  • White walls still work well as a base
  • Hang a gallery wall which will be full of colourful art
  • Choose colourful and patterned throw cushions
  • Add indoor plants for greenery and texture
  • Add layers
  • Less pastels, more corals and blues

If you don’t think you could commit to a completely colourful living room you could try creating a cheerful corner or bedroom!

Love this post. I’m certainly a fan of neutral but lately have been adding lots of colour into my place to liven it up a bit and make it feel happy. It just feels so much more homely. Thanks for the tips!
