Over the long weekend we took off on a little mini-break with 3 other families…We headed to Batemans Bay for some camping/fishing/drinking/beach fun.
I didn’t get lucky and catch any fish this time, but the boys caught 3 flat-head which we cooked up on the bbq.
I jumped out of bed early every morning and headed straight for the beach. I joined all the morning people and soaked up the serenity.
We danced, we did the splits, we wore football jumpers! GO the Rabbits!
↑ Part of our base set-up. The 4 big kids were in the swags. I am definitely going back here again!
I laughed like a mad woman, my friends kept the humour coming! My girlfriend even wrote a ‘manifesto’ before she came. We all went through it, helped her move past some stuff and she even got a shell from the beach and threw it out the window on the mountain on our way out of town…! We called this the “symbolic shell attached to the manifesto“. God we laughed about the shell, but seriously, we need more holidays people. This is why. So we can get rid of the crap we’re carrying around all the time. Leave the stress behind and come home feeling better and fresher.
I had such a great time and I’ve come home feeling happy and ready to get stuck back in to the routine. I am already planning my next mini getaway with friends. You should too!

The Universe sent me this… how appropriate…
Katrina, if you know what you want; if you’ve made up your mind; if you can see it, feel it, and move toward it in some small way every single day… it has to happen.

You came to the piece of paradise we call home, aren’t we lucky! I was working on the beach at the Jetski hire and you drove past our Boatshed on the river. I hope you had a lovely stay and next time please call in for a cuppa! Seriously, we need to talk…
