Essential oil perfume blend

When I started to learn more about essential oils one of the first things I ditched was all my perfumes. I know! It was hard to part with them, because I did have some lovely ones. And expensive too. But they had to go.

Here’s why…

Perfumes contain neurotoxins, which have a causal link to central nervous system disorders, headaches, confusion, dizziness, short-term memory loss, anxiety, depression, disorientation, and mood swings.

Of the five senses, only our sense of smell is linked directly to the limbic lobe of the brain, our emotional control centre. Fear, anxiety, depression, anger, and joy all emanate from this region of the brain.*

We spray perfume on our necks (directly sitting on our thyroid) and slowly all day long this is soaking in to our skin and creeping up our noses.

I didn’t NEED to have that artificial smell on me all day long. So it was easy to just make the switch. That was a no-brainer.

I also gradually switched out candles, room sprays and washing detergent too!

So you can either dab a little bit of these oils on your wrists or behind ears directly or make a spray bottle.

Here’s how >>

  • 15 drops essential oil choice
  • 1 teaspoon witch hazel water (will mix the water and oil) $5 from supermarket
  • 30 ml glass spray bottle
  • Top up with bottled water (or cooled boiled water – tap water can harness bacteria over time)

Total cost for your own bottle will be around $10 with plenty leftover for more down the track!

Get yourself on to the essential oils bandwagon and see how your moods will change. You have nothing to lose!
