Watching myself on tv every night is getting harder and harder and I can never see the good things we do – I am getting too critical! I was never ready for being on tv 6 nights a week! That is insane.
I am getting recognised everywhere I go and the fans are so nice, so there are good points! I also truly hope this experience turns into some good opportunities for my family and I.
Tomorrow a camera crew is coming to Wagga to follow me around. So they will be at our house at 7am to film me getting the kids off to school. Argh!
Wave if you see us tomorrow!

Yay for people being nice, you're my favourite couple!! I can imagine it being daunting seeing yourself on television when you're not a made-up celebrity at your best, you're waking up, putting overalls on & renovating. You're doing an ace job & i'd love a film crew to come & film us getting ready for school, they could perhaps get my high schooler out of bed with a crow bar & help me – it's like herding cats getting 4 children into the car. Enjoy, good luck & enjoy your Wagga celebrity status, it's so cute!! Love Posie

Hi Katrina, I found your blog the The House that A-M Built, and it's been a really interesting insight to the show, which I watch religously.

Last night I watched the first episode of The Renovators and the thing that immediately struck me is how POSITIVE it was compared to the Block in terms of the judging. The judges comments were just so positive, it really made it quite pleasant to watch! I think the Block's judges are really critical and most of the time I disagree with their comments. It would be more helpful to you if they gave constructive feeback like Jason and Darren gave you.

Whew! Didn't mean to get so ranty but I am rooting for you and Amie, and I don't like seeing you so down 🙂 Can't wait to see tonight's episode!

My friend is currently on Masterchef. Things said about her are hurtful. You're very brave to subject yourself to it, n my opinion. . I hope loads of good things Come to you from it.

Sorry Katrina we are loving seeing you 6 nights a week and would even love it if it was seven nights. Can't say that about Josh & Jenna though they are giving me the shits big time. Good luck with the camera crew tomorrow, can't imagine what that must be like having them in your face all the time. Sandy x

Don't be so hard on yourself! The more I watch, the more I am just loving you and Amie.
Design is so subjective, while some things you've done haven't been to my taste you both seem (I know this from my tiny glimpse of your tv life) like loving, caring, honest and fun women and you've got to be proud of that.

Take my hat off to you..after all of that and camera crew watching what you do in the morning would be enough for me .. would have to curb my angry tone. 😀
Checked end result of the house. Good luck with the auction.

Keep positive in the face of adversity. You girls are by far the most stylish people on the Block. I agree with an earlier comment about Josh and Jenna, at least you guys can still hold your heads high. Best wishes.

Katrina, I am loving the show (primarily because of you and A). This is the most intense time for you guys, things will ease off gradually once you are off air. Be rest assured though, you cannot watch yourself objectively like the rest of the population, so you will just have to take it from me that you are coming off looking and behaving a treat. You will always have your detractors – that's just life unfortunately, however, I sincerely hope that one day soon (despite the bumps along the way) you will look back and see this as a positive adventure. Hang in there mate, you're fabulous! XO

People should take their negativity and rem it where the sun don't shine. You are doing fine.

Anyone who says anything about you that is negative is really just showing everyone what they are unhappy with within themselves. just keep going. You are fine. You know it!

I too have found your blog through The House That A-M built and am now an avid "The Block" addict. You two are fantastic and come across in a genuine, funny and interesting way. But I can totally get how it must be daunting to see yourself on TV every night- especially as it is edited to suit the show- not necessarily how it happened.
PS; I'm a Wagga girl too- nice to see someone with great style ideas around here. Not enough of it!

I can imagine it is very odd to watch yourself. But you should be so proud of what you and Amie have achieved. You have done an amazing job that most of us couldn't have even come close to achieving:)
