I have always loved the idea of a concrete tank plunge pool. They look so good. If you don’t have a big backyard this option could work for you? They nestle beautifully in a backyard and the kids will enjoy it for years to come. It can also be a cost effective solution to adding a pool to your home. You need the shell, it will have to be craned in, leveled, filled and the correct plumbing installed. You just need to do a little research and there are many companies (when I google around) which can help you set it all up.
Take a look at some ideas below…

You can see some have decks, boardwalks, tiling, steps… My favourite is the outback photo where the kids are doing a bomb in to the pool. It looks simple and effective. You can also see a lot of them don’t require fencing (check with your local council though!) because of their height. This allows for uninterrupted views of your surroundings.
Would you consider a concrete tank plunge pool? ♥ KC.

Love the idea from the photos. You would need pool fencing though to be able to put one in where I live.

You must be stalking my Pinterest ive spent the last 2 days looking at these

I have one – Australian Plunge Pools.
Kelly Taylor
Any tips Kim? We are considering we are rural. That said the dam is doing a pretty good job and it’s low maintenance;)
Kim Hilton Otero
Kelly Taylor we have the round one but they also come in square shape now. The pool is delivered completely finished and just needs to be lifted by a crane into place then connected to the filter system. Ours was partially dug in but you can have them just sitting on the ground. They are great for cooling off in the hot weather but you can’t do laps in them (to small). We went for the biggest size you can get.

Kim Hilton Otero can I ask how much a project like this cost?
Kim Hilton Otero
Amy Bloyd in total with fencing it was around $18,000.00 but that was 2 years ago. Have a look at their website http://www.australianplungepools.com.au

I’ve been looking into shipping container pools and these are another great option, it’s for a rural property but one we lease so I like the idea of taking it with us if needed

We have been looking at these! Requirements for NSW though including having to fence around the complete pool even though it would not be as high as the pool itself. Once you break down the actual pricing, delivery and instal costs getting a bit pricey. Still, we have the perfect spot for one!

Yessss!! ? Absolutely love them! We just bought a little block of land at Mangoplah that has an old shed & half a concrete water tank still in the ground and immediately thought to transform it into a concrete plunge pool like this! I’ve been looking at them on Pinterest for weeks! I’m not much of a swimmer either and only ever like a quick dip to cool off so it works into our lifestyle perfectly?follow our journey – @forever.at.forty.five

I love this idea and I totally would have one.

We are currently in the process of having one installed on our property in Yallingup WA. You need to consider, in addition to the cost of the actual pool, the decking, fencing, plumbing for pumps etc etc. We’re also having ours heated so it’s all adding up, but we’re super excited and looking forward to posting some pics once it’s all done :))

Hello Kate
We live near Redgate Beach WA. I was wondering if you would mind telling me the company you are using for your pool at Yallingup. We are interested in this sort of plunge pool.
Thank you
Margaret
