My baby turned 6 yesterday. Cheeky cute little kid. He made up a song about not being 5 any more. He thinks he’s suddenly very grown up now!

Look at the cake Amie made! He loved it! Thanks Aunty Aims! He was very lucky.

We went to the park for a BBQ lunch with my Mum and Dad, Amie and her family.

Amie is holding a parking space for Mum and Dad.

She has my favourite shoes on!

Kids with their Dad! Ummm, notice a New York Yankies theme? HA!

Amie’s kids and their Daddy!

Now my Mum and Dad are in a photo, but my sister was doing rude fingers in the background and because I’m such a good girl, I think I’ll spare you of that photo! She’s all class that Amie!

How was your day?

Today I am off to the dentist! FUN!

I really love the cake. It’s incredibly detailed Your sister Amie is very talented.I just wouldn’t have the patience and I’d probably eat half the ingredients as I was making it.

What an awesome cake – Amie is so talented! Sounds like a great Father’s Day / birthday celebration over your way. Can’t believe your baby is 6 already… where does time fly?

Our day was lovely too – a picnic lunch to celebrate Father’s Day for my husband and then a quiet afternoon at home (I started spring cleaning).

Hope the dentist goes okay x

    Katrina,

Karen here (aka NoComment from Twitter)… just love catching up on your blog and was thrilled to see the photos of your lovely “Father’s / Birthday Day” on Sunday.

Having no children myself, I still enjoy seeing other families celebrating important occasions together! As for my family, add plenty of years, less people and you have my FD in a nutshell… Little brother is in Sydney with our gorgeous nephew / grandson, but ma, pa (in their mid & late 70’s) and I had a lovely lunch, afternoon and evening together! They miss my brother & his son so much, I guess I try even harder these days to make Mother’s, Father’s, birthday & Christmas’ that much more special for them.

Also reminds me that at my tender age of 50, I am such a lucky, truly blessed person to have both parents still with me, enjoying good health and family spirit.

From my family and I, to you and yours, glad you had a fantastic “Combined Day” out with your sister and parents… and thanks for the little glimpse into your happy world!

I hope Amie doesn’t mind if I steal her cake inspiration for my babies 9th birthday next month. He is rugby mad…actually sport mad would be more accurate!
