I’ve been under the weather – fancy not blogging for almost a week! Sorry guys, but I couldn’t bring myself to write anything this week. Last week I started feeling unwell, I knew I had an abscess forming. If you’re new to my blog, I have had crohn’s disease for 20 years. Anyhoo, I knew the drill with the abscess. Doctor and antibiotics. I still wasn’t well, so I did 2nd doctor visit to my surgeon (as my normal crohn’s doc is in Melbourne and I wasn’t well enough to get down there). We added more antibiotics and I was to hang tight.
Over the weekend I started getting worse. I’ve been septic twice before, so I knew the signs. I decided I had to get to the hospital! They didn’t muck around and knew my history so I was in a bed in minutes. I had a little sleep, they knicked the abscess, put some drains in, pumped me with antibiotics some more, and now I am home chilling on my couch. Well, I am still feeling pretty off, but much better than what I was!
My Mummy is coming over today to help me out and hang with me. I’ll be back to my normal self next week! Ain’t nobody got time to be sick (plus I have my wedding anniversary today)!!
