Did you see me on TV last night? The Block 2012 is almost over!

Yes, yes, yes I am still going on about it... Ha! I just love it! So much fun. What did you think of the rooms?? I really like Dale and Sophie's kids room. I wanted to only give it a 9/10 - hahaha! Amie loved it more than I did. I'm not sure why I …

What did you think of the rooms??

I really like Dale and Sophie’s kids room. I wanted to only give it a 9/10 – hahaha! Amie loved it more than I did. I’m not sure why I wanted to give them a 9. I think it was because it was the first room we saw and I hadn’t seen the rest of the house. But it was really cool. The tv makes the room look much smaller than it really is. Next best for me was the bathroom. Dani’s design was very good. I really loved the tiles. The Twittersphere was mixed about it. Some loved them, some hated them. I thought they were so good. I guess you’d have to see them up close to appreciate how cool that room looked. I would love to use those tiles somewhere in my new house! I didn’t really steal the cushion! I tried though 😉

The Block is really heating up now. They’re on the final stretch. The auction is just days away.

Who do you think will win? I know I am being biased but I do hope Dale and Sophie take it out. Not because I loved their house the best, I just really like them.

I have liked elements of all the houses, I’ve been through them a couple of times. I haven’t fallen in love with just one house. There’s been rooms in each house I’ve hated. But that’s just personal preference. Some bits have been a little “shizen”. Yes, that’s my polite word! HA!

I am nervous for them too. I know exactly how they are feeling. Even 1 year on, I am still wishing ours went a different way. I’m not saying I’m disappointed (because I’m not! I still would’ve gone on the show even if there was no mention of $ at the end!), I just wished they’d all sold on the night. It would have been a nice end to the journey. But the fact that only 1 sold was a reflection of the general real estate market in Melbourne at the time.

The winner this year (like every year) is anyone’s guess. It could be a repeat of last year… The winner doesn’t have to be the best house, with the best agent or the couple who worked the hardest or who were nicer and more loveable… it really can go anyway AND I think all 4 are just as deserving as each other.

No matter what happens, they will always be changed by this experience. I wish them all the luck in the world and can’t wait to watch the auction! Will you be watching on Sunday night?

Yes. I’ll be watching. It will be interesting to see if they sell and for how much. I think the boys will win…maybe…even though their styling is dubious. Ha! Not putting money on it though! xx

Real estate is a weird game and as you say, anyone can win. It just depends which buyers are out there on the night and what their taste/preference is. It’s all about the market!

I didn’t vote because I don’t know who I want to see win…probably Brad and Lara or Dale and Sophie.

    See you at Blogopolis tomorrow!!!

Oh I just love Dale and Sophie, such a gorgeous couple I hope they win.But I understand their taste might not appeal to everyone.Absolutely loved Dan and Dannis bathroom last night, Young House Love used those penny tiles in their kitchen and they are gorgeous. I will miss it when its over, like I did when you and Amie were on too. HA HA Sometimes when you watch these shows everynight the people feel like your friends…and its sad when its over. Or is that just me LOL!!

Dale & Sophie are awesome……they have a real sense of personal style……and they put it out there ;o)
I like the ‘feel’ they have created and the ‘lifestyle’
Like you said, it could go any way……but my money is on Dale & Sophie or maybe Brad & Lara……or maybe……?

PS. I missed last night’s show so I’m going to try to catch it online.

I saw you last night and you looked gorgeous – that dress was really nice. As for the rooms and houses? I think last night (overall) I preserved Dan and Dani’s ‘rooms’ but Dale & Sophie’s kids room was A-mazing! Their style is so quirky but it really works. Can’t wait for the auction

I will be watching – I have loved every minute of it. I’m not sure who will win, maybe Dan and Dani as their taste is fairly generic, though I do like Sophie and Dale as a couple. I’ll be sad when it’s over 🙂

I admit I squealed when I saw you on TV with the 2011 Gang. And I did a hearty chuckle when you tried to steal the cushion. Amie looked gorgeous as per usual and you! You! I may just buy that geometric dress you wore! I have to say that Dan & Dani’s bathroom was breathtaking. I would of loved to have known the score for just that bathroom. And Dale & Sophie’s kid’s room was dead set creative. Love love loved it! My littler kids would definitely be saying “Mummy, please buy this house so I can have this room!”

Not as much style as there was last year. A little disappointed with the decoration of the rooms in general. Sophie & Dale just lovely so would love to see them win. xx

While I LOVE LOVE LOVE those penny tiles I warn you not to use them in your bathroom. Being so small mould will get into them and trust me you’ll never be able to get it out … no matter how clean you keep your bathroom and how much Exit Mould you use it will takeover … with the tiles being so small it will just spread and spread and spread. Then you’ll know what shizen really means! I don’t think it’d be a problem in the kitchen though.

You looked great last night! It was good seeing you all back on The Block. I loved the rooms and was a bit disappointed for Brad & Lara as I loved what they had done. I will definitely be watching the final Sunday! Couldn’t miss it!!

I loved seeing you and Amie back, you were both hilarious – the shizen comment was the best, I was laughing out loud at all your comments on the rooms, the boys really lost it this week… they must have been delirious going by their styling choices..! Sophie and Dale’s house definitely has the most personality, but like you, I think each house has a great room, no one house is fabulous all over. But I do hope Sophie and Dale win, and if they don’t, Brad and Lara. Sunday night, the kids will be in bed at 6pm and I will be front and centre on the couch! And then I’ll be sad that’s it all over.. x

I thought the bathroom looked a bit blah on tv, maybe it was different in person? Just the thought of cleaning all the grout with those penny tiles makes me want a cup of tea and lie down!

You and Amie looked beautiful, loved Amie’s dress when you were judging the rooms, stunning!

Oh your hair looked beautiful! I have no idea who is going to win. I didn’t pick it last year and I doubt I could this year. Maybe Soph and Dale??? Maybe Brad and Lara, my faves! Real estate is sooo fickle! You never can tell how it will all go really…but best of luck to all of them! They did so great!!!!!
