This morning I am blogging from the airport. Unfortunately I’ve had to make a dash to Melbourne to have little rest and an operation in hospital. I’m ok. But it’s just the best place for me to be. I have great doctor’s there. I’ll only be few days. It was hard to tell the kiddies. They know about my crohns but it’s hard to explain sometimes. My husband gets so emotional.

PLUS Happy Birthday to my long-suffering and adorable husband TODAY! Yep, I’ve had to miss his birthday again this year. Last year I was filming on The Block. It’s been a big 12 months.

There will be no tears. I never cry over crohns. It’s just my life and this is why I blog about it. It’s not always sunshine and roses. I’m not overly religious (although my kids go to a Catholic school haha!) but I believe ‘God brought me to it, so he’ll bring me through it.’ 🙂 I also made a commitment to Crohns and Colits Australia as an ambassador so I am sharing my journey with other sufferers…

I have my trusty new iPad so I’m still around! X

As a fellow Crohn’s sufferer, thinking of you, knowing how hard it is to be away from your family and hoping all goes well and you are back with them in no time. It really is a shitty disease! 😉

Get well soon xx I’m pleased to think u have a supportive friends and family around u to help manage things while ur away. Ur poor hubby. Emotional and a birthday without u :(. What symptoms have brought u to hospital? I hadn’t picked up in any unwellness (is that a word lol) in ur blog. I hope u feel well enough that this feels like a holiday retreat instead of a hospital stay. Hopefully ucan do extra blogs in ur spare time xx thinking of u xx

I’m sorry you’re not well. 🙁 I know the hospital will take good care of you, but it’s hard to be away from your family. Hope it’s a very short stay.

Oh Sweetheart! You poor darling. You can’t take a trick with the lack of warning Crohn’s seems to give you. I hope you’re feeling chipper again ASAP and back home celebrating with the Mister. J x

From one Crohn’s sufferer to another…hang in there girl, stay positive and recognise what your body is telling you! Good luck for the op Katrina..truly the lesson here from this time onwards is to take care of YOU first…your family need you to do that and it’s OKAY 🙂

I hope all goes well and you are back on your feet and home with your beautiful family very soon. Thank you for sharing so that we can all send our thoughts and so that awareness of the realities of Chron’s is out there.

I was going to say you’re a kick-ass woman but then I realized that was a very bad pun in the situation….which gave me pause…and then I said it anyway!!!
You are one tough cookie and I admire you so much:)

Hope your feeling much better soon. My SIL had 16 operations over her lifetime with crohns and never once complained about it. The only time she never suffered was when she was pregnant with her two children. I do hope they find a cure soon.
