Camping…it’s all over {apparently}

This is how the state of my husband's car arrived home! Oh. my. god. I could not even see the kids faces in the car. They were supposed to be gone for 3 days, but only lasted a day and half. The weather was rotten and the track they went in on was getting wetter …

This is how the state of my husband’s car arrived home! Oh. my. god. I could not even see the kids faces in the car. They were supposed to be gone for 3 days, but only lasted a day and half. The weather was rotten and the track they went in on was getting wetter and wetter. They decided to leave while they could because they would have been stuck for days otherwise. There were 5 cars in total and all of them got bogged at one stage or another, so they had to take turns pulling each other out.

My husband usually likes camping, but he has decided to sell everything – says he’s had a gut-full of mud, dirt, and firewood. I didn’t think he was serious, but he even said this morning he is not sleeping in a tent ever again! He has spent a long time (and a lot of $$) to get his whole camping thingy set up… We will see how serious he is next week!!! My boys had sad faces but my husband assures them he will still go fishing etc, but is staying in style next time. Gee, he really must have had a sh*t of a time to say that.

Anyway, my girls night in didn’t happen! We had big plans with my sister and some friend’s. Never mind, there will be others.

    Hi Katrina

    Oh Goodness!
    I wonder if he really will stick to his decision

    Tony and I used to go camping – real camping out in the middle of nowhere, did it for years and years. I got so over it – was fun at the time, but no thanks. My son announced he and his girlfriend want to get married in this little island on the Murry River – only thing is it's going to be a camping wedding as the Island is quite remote – no motels nearby – what the?????

    Never mind about your girly night being cancelled – don't you hate that!

    Yuck! I'm personally not much of a camper either. Good luck with that vehicle! And I hope you can get another Girls' Night In.

    Oh My! Your Hubby's car looks awful. I'm not sure I would want to go again if it meant that much mud! Found your blog through Gail and I love how it looks! I'll be checking back 🙂

    Holy Molly! That is a load full of mud! Good thing they made it home safe though. Let me know if he did sell everything and not just a spur of the moment frustration 🙂
