8 reasons why I hate sleeping away from home…

I’ve spent a couple of nights away from home and as much as I love the fun and the hype there is always lots to hate…

(I did have to tell this lady to turn it down!)

Do these ever happen to you?…

1. My face is so puffy I hardly recognise myself. It’s from flying and dehydration from air-conditioning. I can’t even get my wedding rings off.

2. I am so thirsty that no amount of water can save me.

3. I have developed a head cold (again probably from air-conditioning) and I didn’t bring anything… I was breathing through my mouth only until I found a convenience store and squealed in delight when I saw a nasal decongestant. I am very classy you know.

4. My pillow is too high.

5. The mirror makes me look like a different person and I didn’t bring another set of clothes. Does this happen to you??? You think outfits looks ok at home, but when you catch your reflection in the lift mirrors you realise it’s all wrong??

6. I eat too much. Like a full big breakfast AND lunch AND dinner (and 16 bags of lollies in between).

7. I am always left with a mini bar bill because see point 6. above…

8. I am a clock watcher in the night when I am away so I barely get any sleep. I keep thinking I’ll miss my appointments or my plane home.

What about you?

I’m heading home at lunch today. I’ve had an awesome few days away with the new kids on The Block. Amie and I have probably laughed more than we ever have. But time to get back to my babies!

See you next week… X

A couple of those things happen to me, especially the eating and headcold thing but I’m not a fan of nasal spray, I’ll just whine or take a pill instead.

You are so on the money, I am not keen on air con hotels either for all those reasons. And the eating.
Shame we missed you yesterday. Athough looks like you were having way too much fun being swallowed by chairs. Hilarious.

I always forget something important that I cant really buy again easily when I go away. Always. No matter how much I check everything, like my gold tipped tweezers or amazing cuticle scissors. And I don’t drink enough water too.

    That chair looks dangerous! Mxx

I see you are having some tough moments but they are pretty exciting too. Your face in the first picture is telling the whole story. Cheers 🙂

What is that chair?! I don’t mind sleeping away from home but I don’t do it that often so that’s probably why. Glad you had fun though 🙂

I thought you looked fantastic!! Thanks so much again for the tickets and apologies for my super awkward thanks in person, we had an early morning and I had just eaten :/

I can’t believe how many of those massage things were there! though we left around 3pm and I can understand why you would need one – they would have made a killing, so many sore legs and backs
