Why did we choose House 3?

There was no massive reason why we chose House 3. We had no idea what was on the inside!Maybe the key points were...1. It was free-standing2. There were no units next to it (as it looked like there would be next House 1)3. The facade on House 4 looked too hard for us4. There looked …

Maybe the key points were…
1. It was free-standing
2. There were no units next to it (as it looked like there would be next House 1)
3. The facade on House 4 looked too hard for us
4. There looked like there was a fireplace inside.
That was it!
My husband asked me why we didn’t pick the double fronted (House 1)? My answer is… we had no idea that the word ‘double-fronted’ meant something in Melbourne. We’re from the country! Derrr.
But I hope you enjoy some of our amazing features inside….stay tuned.

It would have been so hard to choose and it looked like you were so under pressure. I am glad you chose one in the middle, at least you knew there would be freshly renovated neighbours. I wonder what is inside?

Does double-fronted mean there's a window/room either side of the front door?! I'm clueless as well….!

Is double fronted really a Melbourne thing? I thought this was a standard real estate term to describe the style of a house.

Missed last night's ep as I was working, so did not see the choices .. but we used to live in this area katrina ( our first house/first reno ! 🙂 and it was a single-fronted workers cottage like this one – I still drive past it and admire our work, I love this one too – know you will do great things ! x

I didn't know the double front term either, and would have found it so difficult to choose. They all look hideous! What a lot of work to do… it must be amazing to watch it back on tv.

Has a front door similar to ours with the windows around it. We are replacing ours back to the original cricket bat door very soon. Look forward to seeing what you do with this diamond in the rough!
