The coloured fridge is tickling my fancy these days! I know they have been around for a while, and yes SMEG does seem to do the majority of them, but aren’t they just so cute?? I would LOVE one! I like the mint, but then I am also partial to the black (even though not truly a colour), and I like the matte black. I wonder how that would wear with finger prints and kids though??

I also see that Westinghouse, Hisense, Bosch, Sharp and even Mitsubishi have a coloured fridge in their range. Lots of red ones.
Obviously you’d only use a bright colour in small doses. So a neutral kitchen would need to be the base.
What do you think? Are these something you’d consider?

The fridges look wonderful but they come with an obvious problem. A friend has the orange version and in her kitchen it looked amazing but they moved and now it just looks awful in the new house. They tried to sell it but few people actually want an orange fridge so now it is a drinks fridge downstairs. Make that a very expensive drinks fridge. Personally I’d like a black one as black never goes out of style.

Hi Katrina, I love the dark blue Smeg! Mine is a plain old white and has scratch marks on the doors from a cleaning mishap and I’m wondering if I should paint the doors. Blackboard paint perhaps? I’m a bit concerned about starting and then it doesn’t work!
