The Weathertex cladding is going up and it’s starting to look so good. This is the Weathergroove 150 Natural, and it’ll be stained black soon for a bold, beautiful finish. Made from 97% hardwood timber and zero silica, it’s a sustainable Aussie-made product that’s tough, breathable, and low maintenance. I love that it adds texture and warmth while also being better for the environment.

We’ve gone for a concealed front door (and garage roller door!), which blends seamlessly into the cladding. You don’t notice it right away, which is exactly the look I was after. Clean, minimal, and just a little unexpected. The front of the home is starting to feel like everything I’d imagined – simple, with strong lines and loads of character.

The garage is still to come, and once that’s installed, the whole façade will really start to come together. I can already see it in my head, and I’m getting so excited to see it in real life.

This part of the build is always a bit magic. It’s the moment when things shift from plans to actual finishes. I’ll share more soon when the garage goes on and the front gets its final stain.
