We spent the day wandering

We spent the day wandering the streets of Manhattan. Hubby and I walked for hours and hours taking it all in. It's our last full day and we wanted to make the most of it. I'm sad it's all coming to an end... You want your shoes shined? Sit right up there! A street vendor …

You want your shoes shined? Sit right up there!
A street vendor selling fresh fruit…
I just had to go there. It didn’t really rock my socks. It’s just like a huge Myers.
.
Lego World! Oh boy would my kids love that one! Missing a part? Grab it from inside all of these little holes!
The models standing outside the clothing store Hustler. Mu husband was going to take his shirt off and join them and I was to see if I could pick which one was him (I nearly tripped over laughing) 😉
The Louis Vuitton building. Very groovy!
New hot shoes for the season…
.

I found a bakery with the biggest neenish tarts I’d ever seen! Oh my gawd. It’s the size of a plate! But ahhhh, there was no mock cream! No mock cream!!!!? I was disappointed. Love a bit of mock.

Tonight we decided to walk around Times Square again and take in one last look at all the nighttime characters – the Naked Cowboy, the 80 year old man in a bikini, the hawkers, the high rollers… We ate hotdogs in the TKTS stand and just watched the action. My tweet went up on the dunkboard billboard too. Ha!

Tomorrow we are leaving in the evening but are heading to the airport around 3pm. I’m so glad I came here. I love NY.

Tomorrow will also be my last NY post. I promise 😉

I really enjoyed following your posts from NYC. Although I must say it does look very hot and crowded. We are going over in December, should be a very different experience in the winter time. Enjoy your last few hours and have a safe trip home xToni

Yes lots of people Toni, but it’s really crowded in Times Square. The rest is bearable. You’ll love it!

I’m sad your trip is coming to end Katrina! I’ve been loving your posts so much.
Lego World looks fantastic (my little brother would love it). But as for no mock cream!?! I’d thought the Americans would be bang up for a bit of mock cream!
Have a wonderful trip home and enjoy the reunion with your boys. xx
