I was in bed last night thinking about mirrors (as you do!). I love them, and don’t use them enough. I’d love to do a huge wall or something. So the first place I went to for inspiration was Pinterest (I made a board here).
I have a couple of ideas in my head as to where I could put some large mirrors, but I’ll keep pondering a little longer… I have a round mirror like the one above, but I haven’t decided on the right spot yet!
Mirrors are relatively inexpensive and always look great. The light they reflect is better than white paint, small furniture, good lighting… better than all the interior tricks to make a room feel bigger and brighter. Plus, you don’t have to buy a mirror all framed and ready to go. You can easily get a piece cut and frame it yourself. I did a Pinterest search and found lots of ideas! Plus, what about these cool mirror tiles? That’s just an idea, but you can get even larger mirror tiles with a bevelled edge. That’s an easy DIY.
I did full wall mirrors in my new bathrooms and I am in love with them. They were cut to size and go right to the roof.
I need to do another spot somewhere in my home… I have a darkish place in my living room, so I will be on the hunt for the perfect mirror, or I will get a piece cut I think.

Great mirrors on sale at Dare Gallery, I bought the lyndon, much chunkier frame in real life, I love it, have hung above the mantle in the lounge and it makes the room look so much more formal.

I really love the look of grouped mirrors. I need to keep my eyes open when I’m out op-shopping! Thanks for the inspiration Katrina.

Im in the process of hanging as I type!
My living space is so dark, especially today, dreary winter blues…
Im hoping some light will bounce off them and create some much needed light so I can save some electricity!
I will be sharing it soon on my blog.
Cant wait to see what you do!

lol You can come pull down off the walls the 30+ mirrors through out the house we purchased. I don't need to see my reflection that often lol.

I'm loving the floor to ceiling mirror wall! And it makes the room appear so much bigger. I would love to do something like that in my home.

not many would like more. I had mirrors in bedroom on the wardrobe and didn't like it at all, the fung shui of having a mirror face the bed wasn't great so I am yet to find a space for one in our new house. I have some split into 3 in the living area which open up the space.

Yes I have a huge one above the fireplace – we had it made – dark timber to match our dark floor boards. Yes, I love them too. On another note, my friend has those gorgeous black and white cushions from Ikea in the first photo. They are lovely!
