Are you trying to find something else to watch on Netflix? This is me! I’ve done all the usual and recommended shows. I’ve watched so many documentaries too. I am now at the point where I’ve stopped looking through the Netflix catalogue because I’ve seen it, or it doesn’t jump out at me.
Football season is here and in our house that means from Thursday-Monday (ok, probably also the other days of the week too if you include all the talk-shows on footy) the TV is set to a game. I like footy, but I don’t sit a watch a full game ever. I need something I can sink my teeth in to, on my own, away from the gang.
So what do you do when you don’t know what to watch? Ask Facebook! And they delivered! 236 comments later…
Today I’ve put together a list of shows I haven’t seen, and they aren’t the usual ones people recommend. Maybe you haven’t seen these either?
…
Atypical – This heartfelt comedy follows Sam, a teenager on the autism spectrum, who has decided he is ready for romance. In order to start dating — and hopefully find love — Sam will need to be more independent, which also sends his mother (Jennifer Jason Leigh) on her own life-changing path.
…

After disappearing on Nov. 7, 1969, Cesnik’s body was found nearly two months later — but to this day, the killer remains unnamed. In the ’90s, the case returned to the spotlight after one of Cesnik’s former students accused the high school’s chaplain of sexual abuse, and claims that she was taken to Cesnik’s then undiscovered corpse and threatened.
…
Brooklyn Nine-Nine – This ensemble comedy tracks the characters and cases of a Brooklyn police station, far from the dangerous and dramatic challenges of Manhattan.
…
Seven Seconds – When 15-year-old black cyclist Brenton Butler dies in a hit-and-run accident — with a white police officer behind the wheel of the vehicle — Jersey City explodes with racial tension. This crime drama explores the aftermath of the accident, which includes an attempted cover-up by the police department.
…
Chasing Life – Adapted from a Mexican telenovela, this drama series about an ambitious young journalist takes a dark turn when she learns that she has cancer.
…

…
The Last Kingdom – As a child, Uhtred witnessed his father being killed and the Saxon army defeated by invading troops. Danish warlord Earl Ragnar captured Uhtred and raised him in a Danish camp alongside fellow captive Brida, a sharp-tongued girl. Years later, Uhtred is a valiant warrior who is dealt another tragic blow when his home is deliberately set on fire, killing his surrogate family, including Ragnar. Now exiled — alone except for Brida by his side — he vows to avenge Ragnar’s death and reclaim his homeland.
…
The Accountant – Not only is this accountant able to dig deeply into a company’s books, he’s also an expert assassin, and his new client can use both skills.
…

Hi Katrina, Ive been watching Designated Survivor and I’m up to season two. It’s a pleasant change to see integrity played within drama, even if it’s “just a tv show”. Also, I’m a scifi fan and grew up watching the original Lost In Space back when it was new, so it’s been fun to watch the new take, just released, on this classic.
