They’re growing up… derrr of course they are, but with that comes a whole new world for me!

I’m losing my coolness. Big time. She’s slowly slipping away…

Cruise is turning 12 in 2 weeks and he’s sucked the coolness right outta me. 2 more are slowly following suit…

Here’s a list of my notes to self ::

♦  Do not over use your hands when talking because apparently it’s really irritating.
♦  Do not mention a DJ or cool dance track (even if you like that song) because you’re only trying too hard.
♦  Casually mention you’ll be swimming at their pool party with 30 kids. The facial expressions are priceless.
♦  Fist pump and recognise today will be good day when there is no wee on the floor when you go to clean it up (as you do every single morning).
♦  Do not linger too long at school ever.
♦  Do not talk too much to the girls in their year. It’s embarrassing.
♦  Do not wear huge sunglasses or animal print excessively. It’s a bit too much apparently.
♦  Haircuts are really really important to them. If you want to look like Andrew Fifita and have a new style with lines you’ll need to keep this up every 4 weeks (sooner if you can be bothered).
♦  Kids meals when you go out for dinner are in the past. Chuck them a steak or parmi with chips and salad.
♦  Start looking for a night job. Food is bloody expensive. Oh, and never take them grocery shopping because that costs you heaps more!

Anyway, as if I’d change a thing. Life would be dull without them. At least they make me laugh!

Haha.. Yes! We are excited. I’ve been wondering when boys start to get embarrassed by their mums. I think I have a few more years to go 😉
