The front door is always such a big deal!

Yesterday I had to make some decisions about the front door. I'm ridiculously symmetrical and I had to have 2 glass sidelights either side of my door. Yesterday I had to make some decisions about the front door. I’m ridiculously symmetrical and I had to have 2 glass sidelights either side of my door. My poor draftsman had to shuffle everything around to make this happen when I started drawing up my plans. It was a must for me. (As the house builds you’ll see more of my symmetrical tendencies!)

So, I was making some decisions about the casing. I’m having aluminium windows and back doors, but I wanted timber for the front. I thought it would look silly if I had aluminium side lights and a timber front door. Because the house is weatherboard, I want the front door to suit the style. Timber windows and doors for the entire house was just not an option for me in Wagga in case you’re wondering.

So now, I’m deciding on the front door and those sidelights. I’m pretty sure they will be just solid plain glass but the door??? Glass in the top??

Ok, so then I will have to decide on a handle?? The decision-making is happening. I need to make a list and start ticking it all off!

What do you think about the front door?

It will be all white, so don’t worry about the colour.

Today they are pouring the SLAB! I’m so excited. A-M (she got a new blog design too if you’ve haven’t seen it) has been calling it #slabpride on twitter. I’m off for a walk, but I’ll be stalking my block later on.

Oh, and I have some cool news to share with you soon that has to do with my blog. 🙂

Have a great day! X
