Darren and Dea were on the bottom of the score board this week with 20/30. Shayna was livid and called their kitchen “arrogant” because the D’s moved their kitchen and didn’t listen to any advice… what do you think?

Did the judges get it right this week?

I think they did. I loved Dea and Daz’s but not the tiles or the butlers pantry. I think if they had a closed pantry and different tiles they may have won. The judges were harsh but thinking back to last series those had wow factor. These didn’t

The DD’s were never going to win. The judges already had their mind maid up regardless of how it actually looked. I think lessons have taught all contestants, wow factor to judges may be great and get you 10’s but it’s not what the actual buys want.

I hate it when the judges point things out and I start nodding in agreement with them. For the price of those appartments I want the WOW factor and it to be very functional.

Overall I agreed with the judges that there was no real standout as in previous years, but I thought Neale was spot on when he said we now live in and around our kitchen, so moving the kitchens to open to outdoor areas will probably appeal to the buyers. Although I did prefer Ayden and Jess’ last night, I’m sure when it comes together, the DD’s kitchen will work with the style of their apartment. Not that it guarantees winning the competition – I can never figure out who wins it.

I really liked all the kitchens, for a change and it was nice to see Ayden & Jess take a win. But Shaynna came off as a vindictive cow over D&D’s room (which was gorgeous, as usual) – which may or may not have had something to do with careful editing. Producers love a bit of drama, don’t they?

Oh, and thanks for all the photos, lovely! Sometimes it’s hard to get a good look at the finished rooms on the show. It’s nice to have time to scroll through pics at your leisure and enjoy than.

So sick of listening to D&D. They seem so high and mighty. Really liked them last season but this season I can’t stand it. Love their work but seriously enough is enough. I think the best team won last night.

I think the kitchens look really small for such high end apartments.

I love D&D but I did agree that the floor/timber cupboard/splash back didn’t work well together. But other than that it was fine! The judges were harsh & had already decided before seeing it because the architects ego is wounded & he is pouting so the judges are all harping on & on & on about changing the floor plan. Contestants have switched things around every single season & it’s never been a big ‘no, no!’. The architect is just a man. He’s not a god. Not everyone has to agree with his designs. It’s really irritating me how much the judges are sucking up to him & crucifying the contestants to appease this guys pride!! Shaynna clearly is biased too which should automatically disqualify her from being a judge. Judges need to be neutral & professional. It is very apparent to all that she is neither. I’m glad Jess & ayden won. Loved their space! Didn’t mind J&C’s either. Don’t get me started on A&T…

I agreed with most of what the judges said about D & D kitchen, but picture your self in that kitchen where is the food going and the butlers pantry is in an odd spot there is no balance and the 2 posts not starting on them,
I can afford to buy one of those places but clean lines and unobstructed site lines with a floor plan the works is what ppl want

I suspect these kitchens may be used differently to the family kitchens in your average suburban home, that said they still need to be functional and I think D&D’s “butlers’ pantry” space could have been better utilized. With the exception of T&A’s kitchen I liked them all. I do think Shaynna should take a breath and keep her ego and personal feelings out of the judging, it’s getting hard to watch. D&D are clearly very passionate about what they do and maybe this comes across as a little arrogant

I think they got it right. I think if apartment 1 (T&A) had of finished there’s was hands down the winner….it flowed the best and seemed most functional. J&A was nice but seem a bit country style and doesnt really flow with their apartment. I’d also be disappointed with the tiny lounge. D&D had good ideas but it was just all over the place, the style nice but the set out all wrong…..and Shaynna was right with the waste of space next to the oven and open butchers pantry so far away……I’d truely hate the 2 ‘goal’ posts too. They could of made anawesome kitchen. J&C….well it just wasn’t much, something you’d find in a somewhat budget apartment (still nice) but not what to expect in that type of apartment

the best kitchen did win, i do wonder how all the kitchens would have turned out if left in original place, i have a suspicion that they would all have been stunners, compared to other years the kitchens didn’t stand up when spending that amount of money on home i expect wow in all areas I have to agree with the judges this week.
