I have ‘sort of’ finished my office. Below are some pictures of the process. On the opposite wall to the desk area I am on the hunt for a nice little lounge. This room is bigger than I thought so I think it requires a bit more furniture.

The photo below has a plaster cut-out that looks into the Family Room. I have ordered white timber bi-fold shutters for here. They are on their way!


Obviously still needs a blind on the window in this room.

    Yep! Fantastic !
    I want one Just like it!!!
    Just think it looks fantastic.
    I love the shelves and using the lower as a Computer bench>
    Did you buy them in or are they plaster built in's or what???
    Some of us NEED to know…lol!

    The shutter idea is really terrific.
    Will add a whole new dimension and some privicy…
    Or just to hide the room when offices get messy!
    I want one too!!!!
    Said with big pouty face!!!lol!

    Oh shucks! Thanks so much for your nice comments!!!

    My husband is pretty clever. The shelves are actually doors cut to size. I needed something thick and that wouldn't bow, so a door was the best option! Then I bought the brackets and painted them to match. This room is really, really open and you will always see it when you walk into my house so I needed it to look good. I am definitely putting a lounge of some description in there. I think I might also frame the chalkboard yet.

    Right…better go and sell some more houses if I am going to pay for all these dreams I have LOL!
