Our favourite family saying this month courtesy of Mr Chevy Geddes Chambers is “sanks a yot Tex!” He says this a few times a day when he is irritated by his brother. Love it. And now I find myself saying it all the time.

What are some of your ‘kiddie’ words that you find yourself saying and have maybe even said out in public?

My husband said “borgot” (forgot) the other day to a delivery driver. We say lots of things that we have decided should start with a ‘b’…. like “bery good” and “bery happy”!

What about things you say that are rude? Like… bottom, bum, pop-off? The ruder the better in our house. Sometimes Andrew will say “do you want poo on your ice-cream?” … Instead of chocolate topping. They will roar with laughter! Not to mention any toy that sounds like a bodily function! And if one of them should let one go, we could be subjected to laughter for up to an hour.

How about the confidence your children give you? I thought my hair was looking pretty nice yesterday and we pulled up at my inlaws house and Cruise said just as I was getting out “your hair looks like a bit of a bird’s nest Mum.” So I said “sanks a yot!”

Kids! Wouldn’t swap ’em though…. (maybe some days I would – like today, the first day of school holidays! Argh).
My little 8 year old star in in there somewhere!
A family and friend BBQ day.
Chevy and his cousin Priya having a snuggle.
A little video of my boys choosing something special at the shops… oh and it’s a process too! They had had their hair cut the day before so they look like little army kids hahaha! Always short for that first week. But we are gel-aholics so I like their hair short and spiked. He even says “bery hot”.

Fun at the park yesterday. The first day of school holidays and we walked to the park. Think I will have to do that everyday so they can burn up some energy!
My other baby.
Have a great day!

The video is cute, Katrina. Looks a bit like our family in the lolly aisle, too many to choose from, usually takes a while!

Our Mr 4 says "Can I get that?" every time an ad comes on the TV for a toy, our answer is always "one day". Mr 7 even answers him with this now!

Enjoy day 2 of the school holidays 🙂

Oh your littlies are so cute. You sound just like me! Favourite saying in this house when anyone excels at anything is "pro-skillage". A pre teen term my 12 year old says all the time. And anything he doesn't like… "fail". We're running with these terms… so that he thinks we're cool parents. I also sat them down in front of the 'Young Ones' while we were away on holidays. The Young Ones say 'bottom' a lot which just delighted my boys… they also blow everything up in that series, always lots of exploding kettles and slap stick stuff… boys love it. I remember watching it when I was first at Uni. My Mother used to say to me, "you're sick" for watching them. I choose to be cooler as a Mum.
As I say to my boys, "there is a time and a place for everything… even rude stuff!" A-M xx

Very funny. Boys do seem to like toilet humour. At 17 our boy has grown out of the funny words-but then if he hadn't I would be dragging him off to speech therapy:) The boys are gorgeous.
