One of those days..

As I sit here pondering the thing I SHOULD do, HAVE to do and WANT to do today, a heaviness is in my heart for what is happening close by. This picture is of the smoke in my background and over our whole town. We don’t live close enough to be affected directly, but close enough to feel the pain. Some of the towns under threat, or destroyed, I have frequented often. I feel sad and sick today…..

Above are a couple of my new purchases for the new house which is travelling along well. I feel guilty even talking about it when so many have lost their houses. I also have so much paperwork to do today (as I also SELL new houses) and this seems a little selfish today.

I have lost sleep (and hurt my back) while measuring and mapping out the finals for my electrical plan. We walked through the house yesterday with the electrician and of course I have thought of more overnight. I am scared to see his quote which i will have in my hands this evening. Oh well….you can’t change these things easily!

Hi Katrina love your new cushions and can't wait to see them in your new home.

Fire disaster is hard to imagine. cannot believe what these people have gone through. I feel like sending down some furniture to them but where would they put it.

Hi Katrina love the new pretties ready for the new house.Hope the electricians quote isn't too big.
The fires in Victoria are terrible. So many lost lives – 173 confirmed so far. So, so sad.

Katrina, I'm feeling like you, my heart is so heavy, the tears are stinging my eyes, yet you have to go on with your life. I was quite suprised after watching all the news reports yesterday morning then going out to do some shopping and to the post office that everyone was still going about their business and of course why wouldn't they? everything feels unreal at the moment

Your house is coming along well, I always look forward to coming over for a progress report

I know what you mean by having a heavy heart. Normally at work I am quite chatty but today there were just no words…apart from how bad it has been & will be.

I love your new glass jars, did you get them from Ezibuy? The new cushions are also pretty glam. Did you end up deciding on a black or white lounge?

    Great tape measure too!

OMG look at that smoke. I have not thought about anything else since last Saturday. Everything I have done, I have had the tragedy in the back of my mind at all times. Take care down there. I LOVE your purchases… you really do have exquisite taste! A-M xx

    Hi Katrina,
The whole country is feeling the pain, up here in Queensland we too are just in disbelief about what is happening to our wonderful country, the flood waters up north have finally passed but there is again more rain due today, it is just crazy to think how wet it is up north and how dry it is down there, will our country ever be the same again?
    Best wishes.
    Linda
