Who would have thought that a small piece of plastic could pack such a punch when stood on!

When I was growing up I loved to play Lego with my brothers.
Mum got sick of either standing on or clogging her vacuum with Lego bricks and made us a storage container out of big blanket with eyelets around the edge threaded with cord.

When we wanted to play we loosened the cord and created all sorts of wondrous things on the mat. When playtime was 'up' we just shoved it all back into the middle, gathered up the cords and it was a done deal.

Oooh – you need one of these – http://www.box4blox.com/

Lego is so fun, but so painful (metaphorically and literally!)

I like the idea of box4blox, but despite their NZ origins they seem to now only be available from the USA and then couriered by UPS to Australia. Amazon won't ship them to Australia.

When a little boy, my lego was kept wrapped in an old sheet. A handy way to "pick it up" in a hurry!

.. and it doesn't stop… my almost 13 year old still surrounds himself with lego. I had to laugh at your post title. It hurts when you accidentally step on it doesn't it! A-M xx
