Hi there! I have another little project for you today and this time I decided to makeover a cupboard I wasn’t using anymore. A few years ago I grabbed this from a garage sale, painted it red and used it in a nursery for one of my boys. It had seen it’s day and look at the handles falling off. I didn’t want to throw it out when we moved in to this house as I knew it had good bones.
I decided to paint it a darker colour using paint from Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan (my blog sponsor). I used Graphite for the entire cupboard. I just painted straight over the red. No priming or sanding.
I masked up a ‘V’ shape and used Paris Grey to paint through the middle.
I then bought 6 new handles from Bunnings for $2.30 each! I left them raw and just popped them on the front…
Look at how it’s come up!
This project took about half an hour of my time (it was just the drying which was the longest part – a couple of hours in between), but I hardly had to do anything to achieve a fresh and new result!
Do you have a project which could use a lick of paint?
Check out all the Chalk Paint™ here and also find the nearest retailer (or buy online here).
Happy DIY-ing! ♥ KC.
