It took my husband and I a while to get used to the name 'Ekka' when we first moved up to Brissie. Seemed so hick to us, but now I quite like it.

I wouldn't have had a CLUE what he was talking about. They do things different up north, that's for sure!!! Ekka is a STUPID name for what should just be called the Brisbane Show, or the Royal Brisbane Show. DUH! But that clip is hilarious 🙂

Ha! wouldn't it be hilarious to have a "celebrity block", and you could play the role of Keith, the foreman. being a brissie girl forever, i actually over the Ekka, so overpriced these days. If i do go, it's to see the woodchop, the chooks and the cattle, which are some of the original attractions, since it began in 1876 or something like that. Jx

Hey Katrina,
so i sit here with paint all over myself as I type this, you would have gotten a laugh out of this this morning, we went down to mitre 10 with our kids to get some stuff and decided that we would do a "josh & jenna" in the paint area…our kids thought we were tools but the mitre 10 staff thought it was hilarious…we are just practicing for entering next year!! How are things going with your move..? I bet you are super excited/scard shitless about the auction next weekend..you girls will win can just feel it..anyway I hope you are enjoying some down time with your boys..when do you head to Melbourne prior to auction?
