I’ve been watching The Block. Of course I have! So many keep asking if I’m watching. I can’t STOP watching!
So what do you think??
I am team Josh and Jenna! They rock. They are my friends and I am proud of them. They totally get designing and run rings around any contestant who has ever been on The Block. I text them all the time for advice and they give me the heads up on what’s hot and what’s not. Jenna is good with design, naturally being the female, but Josh is hot on her heels! I was asking about tiles the other day and Josh was right on to it.
Now, we all know auction day (which is only 4 weeks away!) can go either way. They could smash it, or bum out. I want them to win, because they do have a great house! And they work hard – like all of the contestants.
I also reckon they are a little hard-done-by on the social media channels. They knew they’d be targeted, so I admire their strength. Me? I would be crying and rocking in the corner second time round! Ha! They might come across as tough and full-on, but in real life they aren’t.
J&J are in it to win it. There’s no doubt about it. It’s not about the money, it’s about setting themselves up as designers and they want to make a career out of it. They’re serious about their future goals and where they want to head in life. I did the show for some fun, but they’ve done it twice to cement design careers… And I truly hope they come out of this with solid careers.
I am a little disappointed there is no biff this season. C’mon J&J, bring it back! Haha, we want to see you two in action – you crack me up!! And Josh’s hair?? He knows on our season I would have played the Mum and asked him to cut it 🙂 Haha!
So today I wanted to blog about Josh and Jenna because everyone keeps asking me what I think about the show and who is my favourite. I love the show this year! It’s waaaaaay harder than when Amie and I were on it, so there is no way in hell we could have done it. Thumbs up to the All Stars!

But of course! You know that 😉
I am team Phil & Amity I think – I loved them from the first series and they are so sweet & cute. When I packed up the old house, I found an original BLOCK book of the first series that was fun to look through and remember.

I have that book too somewhere! I hope I find it when I move!

I am addicted to The Block, watch it each night and re-watch late at night and then the replays on the weekend. I have a problem! I love all the couples but I adore Amity and Phil, they are my faves. Everyone is dong such a great job, and I think your faves Josh and Jenna have very bright careers ahead.

Im team amity and phil for sure, they have great style and they seem like the nicest people you could meet. I loved their bathroom last night and i thought it would`ve come 1st, 2nd or 3rd at worst.Im not a fan of josh and jennas style, it seems a bit too basic and cold. For example, last week amity and phils bedroom looked homely and warm and inviting, where as josh and jennas looked a bit cold and hard and like you wouldnt want to spend time in there. And for me a bedroom, or any room for that matter should be inviting and make you want to stay there because it feels comfy and cheerful

I’ve been so into this season of The Block. Josh and Jenna’s bathroom last night was my firm favourite… loved their simple yet stylish feel to the room, their choice not to tile to the ceiling as a nod to the period features of the house and their choice of bath and fittings. I quite like all the contestants this time, I’m not backing anyone in particular, just enjoying the fun of watching along 🙂
Something Gorgeous
I’m also loving this season and agree with Amanda’s comment, I don’t have a favourite and am just enjoying the show. Good luck to all the contestants. xT

Im enjoying it too! I like Amity & Phil but didnt like their bathroom at all – a TV in the bathroom?? just as bad as having one in the bedroom!

It’s a late comment but I will write regardless. The Block is tired isn’t it – same old, same old. Surely they could re-hash it so we don’t continually see couples fighting. My children sometimes want to watch it but my youngest (bless him) said the ther night – gee Mum the husbands and wives don’t like each other very much do they?
Not sure it’s how I expect my children to behave amongst loved ones. I teach my children to respect each other, their Mum and Dad, extended family, school teachers and friends and hopefully society one day when old enough.
Agree the designs and works coming out in such a short time is amazeballs and hats off to these people.
Don’t people watch the world of TV to escape from every day reality – and to see Channel 9 really expose or set up couples bluing away – that’s not healthy.
I just want to see more of the fit out of the houses since we really only get to see the rooms once finish for what – a whole minute on a Sunday night. It doesn’t do justice to all the hard work the couples have done.
Anyway just my thoughts – let’s see less of the bickering and more of the beautiful end product.
