I’m safe but Wagga isn’t

This is scary shit. Wagga is set to flood through the CBD today. I really hope they're wrong. Last night lots of my friends were evacuating. I have no words. I am supposed to be going to Melbourne today. I don't want to because of all of this. Please send good vibes to Wagga.

Stay safe Katrina. I saw on the news last night that you guys had floods (I’m in NZ). Fingers crossed the CBD doesn’t flood.

Scary alright! Having moved away from my homeland last year due to constant earthquakes (Chch NZ), natural disasters are never far from my mind (a couple of nights ago I had a nightmare that we had a mag 7 quake here in Lake Cathie!!) so I really feel for you being able to do nothing but sit and wait 🙁

Take care and lets hope those waters subside!

    xx Karen

It’s just terrible. It reminds me of what happened to Brisbane last year…we were safe but so many people weren’t. It makes you feel ill at how destructive all that water is. xx

Hey Katrina, I have been evacuated from my home in Wagga as well! Thankfully I have a very good friend who has helped me get my things together and we are staying on higher ground in Wagga! It definitely is not a great thing to go through! I hope your family and friends are also safe. Lets hope the levy holds and the city doesnt flood tonight!!

I have been sending vibes all day. I bet it is so hard being so far away from everyone. Fingers and toes are crossed and hoping the peak will be lower than predicted.
