Oh boy, has my life been insane!
Starting from last Saturday… I headed to Melbourne for the Open for Inspection (25,000 people!). Best day ever. Thanks to everyone who came. It was so nice to finally have some feedback about our house (not from just 2 judges!). People really had no idea how big and grand our house is. The scale of the ceiling height really shocked people. I signed thousands of autographs and had a ball.
Then Amie and I jumped straight on a plane at the end of the first Open and headed for Sydney. This was what we had lined up… a chat with Karl and Lisa on The Today Show (let me know if you can’t watch it properly – I may have linked it up incorrectly).
We then watched Hi 5 do some taping at Channel 9. Geez they are fit! Got to meet Stevie and Casey. They are so cute!
Following that we headed in a Lexus convertible to Mix 106.5 to hang with Ant and Becks and chat to them on their radio show. Here is Amie and Sarah (our gorgeous Publicist) living it up…
Then we headed back to Channel 9 for some online interviews. Following that we went to Darling Harbour to do a shoot for TV Week – this was so cool! We did a Karaoke shoot in a bar and we got all glammed up. Guess who surprised us with a visit? Jason Sullivan! Wooo hoo. We told him he was joining us for a shoot and that we’d be singing ACDC, but bam, we switched it to Whitney Housten… crack up! I’ll let you know when that TV Week issue is out.
Next was Fox Studios for some voice over stuff for Microsoft. This is always fun!
Tuesday we had the day off but decided to hit the shops in Sydney before we jumped back on a plane to Melbourne again…
Wednesday in Melbourne had us doing something so awesome! We taped an episode for Millionaire Hotseat with Eddie! I cannot wait for you to see this episode. Best fun ever! It will air next Monday 14th August at 5.30pm. Who will be the Chumps? Who will be the Champs?
We had camera’s with us for the whole week so you’ll get to see us filming and running around all week. Next week on The Block will be some “Where are they now” footage.
After Millionaire Amie and I headed home for a day only on Thursday.
Friday saw us in Albury filming a segment for Postcards with Shane Crawford. Postcards is a travel show but doesn’t show in Sydney. It will air at 5.30pm this Sunday.
Are you exhausted yet reading this??
Friday evening I went home to pack up the family and we headed back to The Block early Saturday morning to get ready for the 2nd Open for Inspection on Sunday.
But first we HAD to watch The Storm play (NRL) at AAMI Park. The boys love their footy!
The 2nd Open for Inspection was yesterday and again it was a massive success! I don’t have any photos for you yet, but I may later today. We wrapped that up and I arrived back home around 10pm last night.
So what am I doing today? Organising to move house to here in a few days…
Lucky aren’t I? This is my sister-in-laws house. They bought another house and we are going to rent this one until my life settles down. If you read my blog last year you’ll know we sold our house to build a new house again this year, but because of the tv show I have been living a crazy life and that new house never got done! Reckon this house is a keeper though? 5 acres! Who knows….
PS. Thanks so much for reading my blog!

Who would have thought that one little word would enable SO much?

I bet when you said "Yes!" to participating in this years' series of 'The Block' that you never really imagined all that has happened since.

I love that great things are coming your way and for me you and Amie are the sparkling stars of the show with your cracker-jack smiles, warm hearts and excellent design aesthetics shining through.

    Happy Day Lovely!

    xx Felicity

You should be so proud of what you have acheived in such a reasonably short time. You have an amazing sense of humour & even come out still smiling through the hard times. Love your attitude, and I hope you go along way with everything you do. Congrats on everything. xx

Hey Katrina – I adore the house you are moving into (I could SO drink a chardy on that deck – and that's always the litmus test isn't it?).

Loving this peek into your whirlwind life… and that you are a blogger!

What a whirlwind! How insane were the crowds?! Wow you must be living off adrenaline. Your new house and 5 acres look like a beautiful retreat to slow down for a little while. Until you plan your next house. Ha! x

I am amazed you are still standing- that sounds so exhausting. But I guess the excitement of it all keeps you going. Your SIL's house looks so lovely. I did like that idea of you buying this house and putting your feet up for awhile. I think you deserve a bit of a rest after all this:)

WOAH!!! im exhausted just reading this!! Did you ever expect your life would become this busy with such exciting things?
Congrats to you & Amie on such a beautiful kitchen, I thought you nailed it, so I was rather disappointed in the judges decision.

    Hello Katrina

Yes you are right – I did get exhausted reading but smiled the whole way though.

Did you know I actually can here your voice as I am reading you blog – it's like you are narrating it 🙂

What will we do at 7pm each night after the block ends?

Please get your own sister to sister decorating show.

Maybe you knock on the doors of "average Australians" and do a internal make over.
Yes I know this concept has been done before but now with such hot property as you two – it is a must.

Can't wait for all the other things to air you have mentioned (we will watch the hot seat for you – as will my little 6 year old who speaks like he knows you personally).

take care and I hope your health is going well for you too with your new trial meds.
