House update: I present to you our slab

It’s all happening people! The slab is DOWN…. I’ve been stalking the block and taking lots of photos.

Here it is, the plumbing is in and it’s boxed up and ready for the concrete.

We got to the block at about 8.15am to see it all happening. I knew if we weren’t early the boys would miss seeing the pump. Thank you concrete guys! They all paused and watched me take photos.

Oooo wet concrete makes me happy.

There she is in all her glory!

Here you can see the front door set-back and the footings have been poured for my verandah all the way across the front.

So the concreter’s weren’t impressed that my slab had to be perfect on the edges. Normally a slab can be out 20-30mm as the brickie comes in and evens it up. But because we are doing weatherboard and the first board sits on the slab, the edges had to measure (and look neat and smooth) correctly with not a mm out.

They’ve sponged and rounded all of the edges. Pretty slab!

And here is the back pergola – it’s going under roofline. Like Father, like Son what are they doing with their hands?? Ha!

So that’s it! The slab is down. The frames have been made and they are on their way! Stay tuned…

Ha ha it’s so cute how excited you get 🙂

I remember how excited I was when I our slab went down. It’s such a mile stone.

Do you think you will be at lock up before Christmas? There is about 7 1/2 weeks left before Chrissy.

That is the prettiest slab I have ever seen:). And it looks huge. The boys must have loved to see the concrete poured. What is it about trucks that boys love so much???

great additions: the mirror is 20% larger, and the mirror is surrounded on all four sides by a bright white LED light, which has two brightness settings. The ToiletTree hermes imitation handbags http://hermesbagsreplica.blogspot.com/
