Here’s a great long, ranch-style house. Oh how I love the symmetry on the front of this one! I’ve always wanted a master with the WIR behind the bed. Anyone got one of those? What do you think about it? I like how the other bedrooms are tucked away in their own space with a games room (although I think I’d put doors on it).

I’d love the family room to have high raked ceilings and I’d whack in a fireplace. What about the u-shape kitchen? Do you like that, or would you prefer an island?

The workshop off the garage would be great for storage. I’d probably like a better set-up for the main bathroom room. Doesn’t look big enough for me.

I found the plan here so check out some of the facade options. If you like looking at floor plans then I have a whole category over here!

If you have a floor plan you’d like me to look over before you build, you can buy my services then email them to me.

Happy Friday! ♥KC.

I love the Ranch style homes. We’d probably want something like this to build on our farm one day. However, I think I’d like the kitchen closer to the garage. I wouldn’t like to have to lug the groceries the full length of the house from the car. And where is the laundry?… is it behind the kitchen?

Nice but I would add a 5th bedroom off the games room where the outdoor living is and move the outdoor living to the other side of the family room

    I really like this plan..but I think bed 2 3 and 4 are a bit light on storage…

This one ticks all the boxes for me. I think the U shaped kitchen suits this space, but I’d swap the alfresco to the other side of the family and have a servery window from the kitchen. I’d also like the laundry near the garage as most of the dirty washing would be coming from that end of the house. You could then have a massive butler’s pantry (no such thing as too much storage!)

Love this!! Would definitely sub the laundry for a butlers pantry though. Maybe laundry could be moved closer to the garage, where the workshop is perhaps (but bigger). Outdoor living and dining should be moved to the kitchen side too. (Edit: switch over access too so that the TV can be seen from the kitchen ) The current outdoor living could be for the kids/teenagers. Access to a courtyard from the master would be good too, probably best to just wrap it around the entire length of the back of the house… And master needs a bigger WIR… Double the size!!
I really do love it though

I don’t like how the family room sticks out like that. I’d probably get rid of the family room, so I could have a big long deck out the back (I live in qld though, so outdoor living is a huge part of life) and open up the games room to the dining, so it was a big long room. I’d put doors into the lounge /media room too. I mean you’ve still got 2 inside tv/relax areas.
I’d also move the laundry to the workshop area-there’s already plumbing next door.
