Floor Plan Friday: Large 4 bedroom, rumpus, scullery + office family home

Hi there! It’s Friday again and here is this week’s floor plan. I think this is a pretty good family floor plan. It’s large with good storage and has plenty of space to spread out.

A couple of things I noticed:

  • I’d add a fireplace to the living/dining niche wall. That would be a cool feature.
  • The ensuite would need a skylight most certainly because there is no light whatsoever. I’d also reconfigure it to put the toilet in a separate space.
  • The games/rumpus would be a thoroughfare, so I’d look at a hallway in there.

I found the plan here.

What do you think about this floor plan?

If you’re obsessed with house designs like I am then I have a stack more over here.

Plus I can give you a hand with your own floor plans in my services list over here.

Happy Friday ♥ KC.

Quite like it….the laundry would be annoying to get to, isn’t near the bedrooms and have to walk through the whole house

I liked this on first look, but not so much the more I think if it.
I’d swap the wir and ensuite so I could have a window. And I think the rumpus would be a kid playroom so would always be a big old mess, with no way to shit it off and hide the mess!
For me, 3 living areas is a a lot.

Certainly spacious, and although I’d agree that three living areas is generous, it does allow the family to spread out. Only key sticking point for me, as you note, is that the games room is a throughfare to the bedrooms, which is a little odd. Thanks for sharing this and the continued inspiration.
