This week’s Floor Plan Friday is all about open spaces, natural flow and clever zoning. It’s the kind of home that suits modern family life with thoughtful features that make the day-to-day feel just that bit easier.
Open Plan Living with Alfresco Vibes
The centre of this home is light, bright and made for easy living. The kitchen, meals and family areas all connect effortlessly and open onto the alfresco, creating a beautiful indoor-outdoor lifestyle. The kitchen has a big island bench and a proper walk-in pantry which gives it both form and function.
Separate Living Spaces
What really stands out in this layout is the variety of living areas. There’s a lounge at the front that would make the perfect movie room or quiet spot to retreat to. Then there’s the Screenagers room at the back, tucked in near the secondary bedrooms. This one’s a winner for teens and tweens who want their own space to game, chill or binge a series without taking over the main lounge.
Zoned Bedrooms and a Smart Layout
The master bedroom is privately located at the front with its own ensuite and walk-in robe, while the other three bedrooms are grouped at the rear. This creates a nice separation for parents and kids. The back bedrooms also share a full family bathroom and separate toilet which is perfect for busy mornings.
Storage and Everyday Practicality
There’s a walk-through laundry with external access and the double garage connects straight into the home through a drop zone with cloak and linen storage. It’s little details like these that keep the household running smoothly.
What Do You Think
This layout nails the balance of open-plan living with defined spaces for different family members and moods. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Does this one suit your lifestyle? Would you claim the Screenagers room or leave it to the kids
