Today on Floor Plan Friday I thought I would share this 3 bedroom family home. Not everyone wants to build a monster of a house, so I went looking for a smaller (but still a good size!) plan.
The home has everything you’d need. You could turn the dining in to another living area, or even a home office. This plan would be great for the empty-nesters, or a small family. I also like how the kitchen/breakfast area has windows to the front and back of the home – this would make it feel very open plan.
What do you think of this one?

I love that you posted a smaller house. Even though in Australia a lot of younger families are building massive houses it seems in other parts of the world they are starting to realise that going smaller is smarter. There are a lot of people in Australia who are starting to realise this too but it seems most of the country is obsessed with bigger houses. With global warming and with the prices of living rising, going smaller and ‘smarter’ seems to be the better option with our climate. There will be a shift, I just think it will take time. But thank you for acknowledging that there is also a need for smaller houses 🙂

Amazing! This is a great floor plan and you could have an awesome kitchen in that space!
