Here’s a really easy little DIY project for you to do at home – a Fluro Cord Light. I’ve seen lots of variations on Pinterest, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I had an old lamp laying around so decided to take the cord out, wrap some colourful wool around the cord and replace the bulb with a huge filament feature globe…
What you’ll need:
- An old lamp cord – or buy a cheap lamp and pull the middle out (I saw some for $12 at Masters).
- Wool colours. I bought 3 at $2 each.
- A bulb.
- Spray paint (you’ll notice I also sprayed the cap black).
Here’s a 60 second video on how I pulled it all together >>
Ta-dah! This project was done in about 20 minutes and I love the pop of colour! Hang it on a hook, lay it across your desk or bedside table (just check it doesn’t get too hot!). 🙂
