I have been relishing in my last few days at home.
I’ve had visitors, lazy days, and lots of love from the kids.
I have sat my camera on the kitchen bench and every time I see something fun happening around me I have been taking snaps so I can share them with you.
Those that watched The Block and know me well, know that small things amuse me and this photo below is one of those moments that had me laughing for no reason. Here is my friend Justin entertaining us all with what he calls “the new ipad 6″‘.
My friends also love to visit when I have lunch on offer because we have a ‘thing’ where I make sandwiches for them. Apparently I am a good sandwich maker. So this week I have been making them again for whoever drops in. Here is my friend Emma with hers, but she giggled when I presented it on a Peter Rabbit plate. Ah, back to the good old days.
In our new house (which I am loving sick!) we have lots of chooks. Here is Tex with some eggs. We have been eating eggs all week! He is really obsessed with the chooks, and I mean really obsessed. They are like his babies. I’ll take some photos of them later today and the most awesome Taj Mahal chook shed we have going on! I learnt yesterday from a 6 year old that we are not allowed to feed the chooks egg shells in their scraps because they will then eat their own eggs. Apparently a chook did eat it’s own egg! The kids decided that would have to be “the most stupidest chook ever!” Ahhh, kids.
Ok, I am off to swan around in the new house, unpack some more boxes, and later today I am working on re-branding Media Mad. I have lots in the pipeline! Flick me an email if you think you need a blog makeover as I am booking now (no websites for a while though)!

Sounds heavenly – egg gatherers, lazy days and visitors. I feel like a sandwich now!!!

I would like a blog makeover but am far too lazy to deal with the decision making!!

Yay for excellent sandwiches, but they always taste 10 x better when someone makes them for you. Any eggs sandwiches in the mix?? Yumbo, curried with shallots please.
Sounds like your new home is super lovely, i love moving but the next one will be our last for a long time, building a homestead in country Canberra & staying put thanks. Love Posie

Hi Katrina, I believe if the chooks get a taste for the egg shell they will just keep eating their own eggs. Looking forward to seeing the
    Taj Mahal.

Oh I love chooks! And those eggs look amazing – so big.
I want chooks in our next house (well not in, you know what I mean). But as we are in town I think we are limited to about 3, but that's fine.
Have fun unpacking and rebranding :
