Last week was spent cleaning up vomit and poo in our house as the horrid gastro bug went through our entire house. Everyone was hit with it. It meant days off work, kids going to grandparents and grandparents coming to our house.
I also spent a day at the Riverina Cancer Care Centre receiving an iron infusion. This took 9hrs! Massive day. However, I thank my lucky stars I was only receiving iron as I watched cancer patients come and go for their chemo. Heartbreaking yet uplifting to see their amazing outlook on life.
Those that know me well will know I have struggled with my health this year…BUT I am daydreaming of new beginnings and new opportunities.
Bring on the Spring.
What are you daydreaming about?
But you know, I am so much more awesome in real life over here: Katrina from The Block.

Hey Katrina, Your health is sooo important and to suffer at all with it is heartbreaking, frustating and motivating. I hope you can only be on the up…
That bug is horrendous this year. Its just grabbed everyone and sometimes more than once. I am loving your new blogs setup and glad your back in full Blog swing.
I am dreaming about my holiday to Phuket in less than 4 weeks….excited much!!! Oh Yeah.

Hey there Katrina!
I agree, there is a definate change in the air at the moment.
I am loving the longer light filled days, the sweet smell of blossoms & happier children (for when the sun is shining they can get outside & play!)
Having had my dad go through the turmoil of bowel cancer recently, I totally get the 'thanking your lucky stars' phrase. It's put a lot of things in perspective for me & I am evaluating a lot of things in my life.
Happy daydreaming!

Hey Katrina, you poor old chook that is just awful. hope you are feeling better…I have recently had to learn about iron stuff as my daughter has low iron and had to have two blood transfusions recently. She is only on liqued stuff which is foul, but what you are having sounds awful…but I agree we have to put stuff in perspective. Sounds corny but I have found that finding what I am grateful for each day..big stuff and little stuff (like when kids learn to vomit in the toilet and not over their bedroom floor and sheets haha) really helps me. Have fun with the spring cleaning and when your finished you can come to my place, cheers Katherine

Love I'm daydreaming about being 10 kilos lighter so I don't frighten poor children during summer!! I'm also daydreaming that your health is so much better when the weather warms up. That's about it for now. xx

I too have spent too much time overwhelmed by illness and hospital and just want to get my groove on and get some things "doing".
My kids were and still are crook one after another….grrrrrr.
I hope you feel better really soon and the silver lining is comming….along with some sunny days and warmer weather….Gee we deserve it after this long dreary winter!
